The Bible predicts that in the last days, a great leader will arise out of the revived Roman Empire

Daniel 9:26: And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. who will command the attention of the entire world (Revelation 13:3: And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. This leader will be a great orator who will speak blasphemies against God and against His people, He will set in the temple and say he is god, And if you do not bow down or take his mark you will be killed. And if you take the mark you will cry for death but it will not come. Daniel 7:25: And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. Revelation 13:5-6 :And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 6And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. He will seek to change times and laws Daniel 7:25:And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. and will preside over the dividing of the land of Israel Daniel 11:39: Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain. But the world will not care what policies this leader stands for, so long as he can unite the people and solve their economic problems. Dr Paul-Henri Spaak, the first president of the UN General Assembly, once said, "We do not want another committee, we have too many already. What we want is a man of sufficient stature to hold the allegiance of all people, and to lift us out of the economic morass into which we are sinking. Send us such a man, and be he God or devil, we will receive him". As you can see, with the passing of the ratification of the Lisbon Treaty in Ireland, the world is one step closer towards the fulfillment of these prophecies. But there is hope. There is another who has been chosen to fill this position. He has been elected by God 1st Peter 2:6: Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. He does not judge after the sight of the eyes or ears but of the heart. But He is just and in righteousness He judges and makes war (Revelation 11:19: And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail. He is the only one who can bring true justice and lasting peace to this fallen world Isaiah 11:3-5: And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: 4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. 5And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins. Isaiah 9:6-7: Thine habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith the LORD. 7:Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will melt them, and try them; for how shall I do for the daughter of my people? Isaiah 28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste. That person is Jesus Christ. He is the Stone of Israel Genesis 49:24) But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:) which the leaders of the nation rejected. Matthew 21:42: Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? He is the one who was tempted by the devil after He fasted in the wilderness, and yet was without sin Hebrews 4:15: For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. He is the one that was tried by both Caiaphas, Pilate and Herod, who could find no fault in Him John 19:6: When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no fault in him. He was the one who was tested when He was on the cross of Calvary, and was able to exhaust the wrath of God against sin John 19:1:2: Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him.2:And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe, Matthew 27:through 31: Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers. And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe. And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews! And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head. And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him. And this is how mush he loves us folks Isaiah 53:11: He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. He has passed every test. He is the sure foundation that is worthy of our trust Psalm 40:2: Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the LORD's hand double for all her sins. The question is, have you believed on Him for the forgiveness of sins? The verse says those who put their trust in Him shall not be moved (Psalm 62:5-6 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved Believe on Jesus Christ for salvation today. John 12:46-47 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
